* -- April meeting in the past has been held as a field trip to the state Iowa Genealogical Society in Des Moines. This will be some other date in the future.
COLLECTION :	The CIGS book collection is now open at its new location at Historical Society of Marshall County Museum, 202 East Church Street, Marshalltown, Iowa. Link to facilities available.

May 17 . The president gave a presentation
April 19 . Judy Nanke will lead a forms review which will include information about basic pedigree charts and family group sheets for those new to genealogy. A variety of other forms, checklists, worksheets, and charts which any gnealogist might use as research ais will be shown as well. There will be an open forum time for sharing information or asking questions relating to personal research preocedures or problems.
March 16 . Fran Brewster will present how she uses a "genealogy wall" to organize and display the results of her family history research.
February 15 . Maryls Ankrum will discuss resources of the DAR Library in Washington, D.C..
January 18 . Judy Nanke will advice on using the World War I draft cards with information on 24 million men born between Sept 12, 1872 and Sept 2, 1900.

2008

December 2008 -- Christmas Break .
November 16 . Carolyn Bauer on "Sanford Insurance Maps" including every building of early Marshalltown over many years intended to aid fire and planning departments and of the community at large. "See" the town develop. (more)
October 19 . 1. "Ellis Island and Annie Moore -- Genealogy, History, and Mythology" will be the presentation by Carolyn Bauer based on the research of Megan Smolenyak. 2. Members share Genealogical "finds" -- e.g. libraries, websites, places and sources of information that CIGS members have uncovered during their own research efforts. 3. Bylaws, Election, Gallentine Collection .
October 2-4 , IGS Annual Fall Conference , Des Moines, "Expanding Your Research Horizons."
September 21 . Pauline Smith and Kathy Smith on "Organizing Your Genealogical Materials.
June-July-Aug . Summer break.
May 18 . Julie Lang on Taylor schoolhouse and the work done there recently.
April 20 . CIGS April Meeting at IGS library in Des Moines.
March 16 . Andrew Dekock will speak on "Emigration from Holland"
