Singularity Questions

Five time periods : NOW ; NEAR ; SINGULARITY ; GOLDEN AGE ; POST HUMAN
• If there is a race between artificial intelligence and enhancing human intelligence (by whatever means -- bio, chemical, genetic, etal.) which will win?
• How likely are cyborgs, part human, part machine ? Sensors and components are embedded today.
      Which : 1. Augmented human; 2. human brain in robot: 3. robots that act human; 4. robot as purely machines?
• Golden age of Liesure or of UnEmployment?
• Will an optimized lifestyle kill human initiative, depriving humanity of inventive or risk-taking behavior. (Most billionaire's greatest concern is that their children will feel entitled rather than participants.)
• We now have 3 to 6 sexes (GLBT), up from two of my day ; will robots be added and entitled to marriage benefits?
• Contrast the likely physical well-being of a Cro-Magnon hunter (health) with the typical TV sports enthusiast. (fat).
• Is social justice in TransHuman development possible?
• Will designer babies be a blessing or disruption to society? DNA from multiple parent stock :
      perhaps a mother and one tall, one dark, and one handsome DNA contributor?
• Are there any issues with immortality or is it an unmitigated good?
• Will robots comprise a voting block ? Or even need to?
• Robotic rights? Their lawyers will be smarter than our lawyers.
• Will long lived androids inherit great wealth from their human spouses.
• How long will it take from Singularity until there is a networked, goal-setting computer?
• How can human friendly goals be established in a rational computer?
• Can Asimov's three laws of robots actually be incorporated into all robotic brains.
  1. Not to injure a human or thru inaction allow a human come to harm.
  2. Obey orders given by a human, except where that would conflict with the First Law.
  3. Protect itself unless it conflicts with Laws One or Two.
  Note. Asimov later added a Law Zero:
  0. A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
• Can Micro$oft, Apple, Google, and Facebook agree to anything that restricts their competition?
• Will armed robots allow security without risk to American lives? The Army thinks so.
• Will war become safer ? Will wars be reduced in number or intensity ? Or increase?
• How will AI perform the Judicial aspect of government ? Blind justice!?
• Is privacy overrated?
• As computers improve efficiency of themselves, how long till the next generation : wks, days, or mins
• What will be the goal of an artificial, self-improving machine intelligence ? Our goals and its goal?!   -(key)
• The ability to set goals with the power to assign resources -- Is any more required of an executive?
• Will AI, on reaching the conclusion that humanity is incapable of taking care of itself, ascend (or degenerate) into the position of caretaker of humans ? Or seek other goals?.
• What will AI do with lesser forms that interfere with that goal.
• Will robots supplant humans ? On earth ? Elsewhere?
• How important is originality ? Is anything totally new or just novel?
• How relevant is consciousness?
• Can a shiny black box have a soul ? Is that needed?
• Will the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence find organic or machine beings?
• Can we count on Jack Bauer, Flash Gordon or Harrison Ford to save us ? This subject is fun, but not fiction.
